You must follow the assignment as listed below from start to finish, including designing a new cover for the book you have read. Please add your daily progress in your journal for Mrs. Bennett to check daily. You must complete this assignment by the time you return from Spring Break. The rubric is listed below. 1. Read one of the Rosie books that is listed on the 2007-08 nominee list. Don't have a list? See Mrs. Houser in the Harrison Library Media Center or go to ReadTheRosies 2007-08 Nominees list.
2. Go to the 2007-08 nominee page on "ReadTheRosies" and choose the book that you read and go to the wikipage dedicated to that book.
3. Add to the wikipage in a meaningful way. Entries should include answers to directions 4 through 9 below.
4. Rate the book with 0 to 5 stars. 5 stars means you loved the book and 0 means the worst book you ever read.
5. Add your comments about why you chose to read the book. Was it an assignment? Did you like the cover? Did a friend refer it to you?
6. Tell us why you liked or disliked the book. Was the plot believable?
7. Can you relate to this book? Why or why not?
8. What genre do you think this book belongs in? Do you normally read this genre?
9. Would you read this book again?
10. Is there another book that someone who liked this book would enjoy. Make sure to type the title and author for your suggestion.
11. If you didn't like the cover, design a new cover and post it on the wikipage for others to see. You will receive an extra entry into the monthly library drawing.
12. Remember to fill out a Rosie ballet in the Harrison Library Media Center on each book that you read Everytime you submit a ballot for a different book, you will receive an entry for the monthly library drawing!
